Shipley Nature Center Monthly Bird Survey
May 28, 2010 8:00-9:30 AM

Weather conditions: sunny, calm, clear, 70

The grounds at Shipley have never looked so beautiful.

One group watched a female Hooded Oriole feed a fledging. Others observed a pair of Red-shouldered Hawks come into Shipley and fly over the channel to feed their fledgling in a palm tree at a private residence.

Of note was an Olive-sided Flycatcher, a Cassin's Vireo and a constant "wah up" vocalization of a Common Ground Dove.

Make it a point to spend time at Shipley and please enjoy the attached survey results of the birds seen.
